Nevin José is a cheerful, sensitive 11-year-old boy with a deep love for nature and animals. Currently in the sixth grade, he shows an interest in his studies, drawing, and caring for plants and animals. He lives with his grandparents and other relatives in an extended family household, where he receives support and protection. His life has been shaped by his parents' separation—a situation that has deeply affected him emotionally. Despite this, he holds fast to his dream of becoming a veterinarian, or as he puts it, an "animal doctor." With support for education, transportation, a school uniform, and emotional guidance, Nevin will be able to continue his studies and move closer to his goal of caring for and helping animals.

Poverty in Honduras
Children from low-income backgrounds in Honduras face significant obstacles that can limit their opportunities, including risky environments, interrupted education, health issues, and limited prospects for decent employment.
That is why our approach focuses on helping children stay in school, build confidence, and thrive in safe, supportive environments while developing the skills they need for the future. Through educational support, health and nutrition resources, and other programs led by expert local staff, children develop self-confidence, resilience, and the tools to become healthy adults capable of shaping their own futures.
